Dr. Marius Urbonavicius is a researcher at the Center for Hydrogen Energy Technologies and UAB Inovatas. Since 2018 Marius also works as an innovation manager at R&D and Innovation transfer unit of Lithuanian Energy Institute.

His main scientific and research activities are focused on:

⦁ Hydrogen generation using reaction between metals and water.
⦁ Development and analysis of metal hydrides for hydrogen storage application.
⦁ Thin films synthesis and surface modification by plasma.
⦁ Development of photocatalytically active titanium oxide films.

Marius Urbonavicius has been author and co-author of 14 publications related to thin films and materials for hydrogen storage or extraction from water. He is also a co-author of 1 patent published by Lithuanian Patent Office and 1 PCT patent application on gamma alumina synthesis.
